Birgitta - Jane Seymore

Birgitta Gallo Lauren

Birgitta is a certified expert in pre and postnatal fitness and nutritional services. She is the author of Expecting Fitness. And among her many clients is Jane Seymour for whom Birgitta designed a fitness program while Jane was expecting her twins. She has worked with many celebrity moms and specializes in "High Risk" pregnancies. Birgitta has been featured on CBS News, Entertainment Tonight, ABC News and in radio interviews, and magazine articles in "Fit Pregnancy", "Baby Talk", US and People Magazine, as a pre and postnatal exercise specialist to high profile as well as high risk expectant mothers. She has written numerous articles for Pregnancy, ePregnancy, American Baby, Baby Talk, and Parenting Magazines etc... She conducts seminars on these subjects for large corporation's wellness programs; like Warner Brother's, Disney, Ingram Micro, Western Digital... Birgitta is also a speaker of and a C.H.E. committee member @ the March of Dimes, and sits on the Executive Board of Directors for the National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition.Born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden and Australia, Birgitta always excelled in athletics. She became a competitive swimmer and studied dance. Her passion for body building led her to win city, state and eventually to become Australian National Champion in Women's Body Building in 1987. Birgitta started a career as a professional fitness trainer in Melbourne, Australia and became extremely successful in introducing her fitness techniques to that market .Birgitta followed her childhood dreams and moved to America. She managed and helped design health clubs and continued her career as a trainer. When a new client wanted to get fit prior to a pregnancy, and Birgitta realized the lack of information on the subject, she saw her calling, and began to research and study prenatal fitness through professors, Obstetricians, the March of Dimes and medical books. She also became a certified prenatal fitness instructor.She took her interest and specialty further and created new programs to keep women with "high risk" pregnancies in shape. Birgitta insists that " all women must exercise during pregnancy, even if you are in a 'high risk category'." She has even designed special exercise techniques for women on bed rest. She is prescribed to these moms by their doctors. She is also the only one in her field to have designed modifications for specific sport and fitness activities for pregnant women. The growing demand for pre and postnatal fitness information inspired Birgitta to collaborate with top international medical experts to write the book; the definitive guide to assist every woman in managing her health and fitness goals and needs, "Expecting Fitness™."JOIN MAILING LIST
